Replacing existing Central heat ducting
Hi guys
Well all the fruit trees are starting to bud, so I'm assuming the cold weather must be almost over in Melbourne.
That said, I'd really like to not heat the entire Yarra Ranges area next winter. The flexible ducting under the house looks like a drunk built built it on an especially bad Monday morning. The lines are literally filling an entire basement room, looping and twisting around other. It's covered with old carpets, duct tape, chicken wire, etc.
To make matters worse, I think I have 1-4 possums living somewhere in there, basking in my bought warmth.
SO. Where is the best/only place in Melbourne to buy either steel ductwork or fibrglass board duct. I'd prefer steel. I'm doing it myself, unless somebody can convince me otherwise. Even gross miscalculation of capacity can't make the system more inefficient than it is now.
