Hi,

A few days ago when the power when out my Westinghouse gas oven stopped working, it's a wall mounted unit about 10 years old.

Everything looks to be working as it should be there is no gas, The igniters will come on and it's a bright orange colour but that’s it.

The electric grill is still working.

I had it repaired about 18 months ago and they put a new gas solenoid into it and it cost about $250 including labour.

Could it be possible that it's the same thing that has happened?

I don’t know what to do, I don’t want to get a plumber in to replace the same thing again only for it to fail again later down the track?

Is it a common thing to go with these ovens? You would think they would last awhile longer?

I am thinking of having an electric oven put in as they seem to be simpler and less things go wrong.

Thanks

Any advice would be good
