Bathroom and kitchen reno

Well...here goes.
We purchased an old house to renovate which has I believe, T&G jarrah flooring with silky oak doors, which are covered in 118 coats of paint.
I wish I had taken a few photos of the inside before we started, but it was in such a state that it was quite embarrassing to have to admit that we owned it.
Anyway, after SWMBO stripped all the carpet from the rooms and the stuff??? from the kitchen floor, it was starting to look ok, as far as a renovator goes.
Firstly the kitchen had to be ripped out. It was the original kitchen, circa 1952 as is the house. Having delved into the structure, it seems we have been fortunate in that it was a quality built residence. We also scored a disused shop at the front, separate from the house.
I drove to Toowoomba one day to buy some cheap melamine flat-pack kitchen cabinets with a $500.00 budget. As I was about to walk in to Bunnings, my wife phoned to say she had seen a second hand kitchen for sale not far from where I was. Went to have a sticky and I 'stole' it from the gentleman at a bargain price. No haggling, he just wanted to get it out to make way for his new kitchen. The deal included a dish washer, gas stove and oven and all the plumbing as well a some tiles.
It has taken a few weeks to get to this stage.
I removed the green laminate edging and dressed and shaped the old T&G shelving and fitted the timber edging.
Will update this thread as we go and any advice or criticisms would be most welcome.

PS: I forgot to mention that the hole in the kitchen wall will become a servery into the lounge which opens up the kitchen a little more.

OK. Here's the bathroom. This actually looks better than when we started.The bathtub is cast iron and weighed in at about 399 kilograms, or so we reckoned as we tried to remove it.If anyone wants this bathtub, you are welcome to it. It is in perfect condition and a pale lemon in colour. You will have to organise a 5 tonne crane and low-loader to cart it away, otherwise it will become a herb garden one day.Again, we will keep you posted as to our progress.By the way, we plan on doing the complete house renovation for $5,000.00 and already I've managed to buy a new cement mixer, which is part of the budget.We will not take any shortcuts or compromises, so if the budget is unrealistic, then so be it. We decided on that amount just to see if it can be done.The complete kitchen has set us back the princely sum of around $800.00 so far. The electrician is yet to come in to do a fair bit of work and he estimates about $1000.00 which wil cover a new safety switch and several power points and some wiring for extra lights.It will be interesting to see how it all goes, so if it costs a bit more, it's not a problem.

Here's a nice view of the 2 sets of back steps. They might need some work, but we'll see if anyone dies trying to use them.

We plan on building a deck here and getting rid of this nonsense.
As for the "budget".....who knows?

Thanks renomart. We actually paid $500.00 for the lot, and the guys who were fitting his new kitchen helped my son and I load it onto the trailer. It took 2 loads in my 8x5 to transport it, 997ks each trip, but well worth it, I reckon.
