3/8" brass beading
Hi All
Does anyone know where I can get some 3/8" brass beading to put on both stems of a canoe? (strip plank "Bob's Special" design from Bear Mountain). I've tried George White & Co. in Melbobourne but they don't stock 3/8" anymore due to low demand. Any leads appreciated.

Try Whitworths. There should be a store somewhere in your region (they seem to be everywhere) and even if they don't have it, it's akin to walking into a tool shop for a perve.

Duckflat normally has one or two sizes.
Problem is any order for brass has to be for something like 250kg so there are only a few businesses that use enough of it to justify ordering stock.
That's why it is hard to get.
But here is certainly one of the places that is good to ask.

3/8" Brass Beading
No luck with local Melbourne Whitworths, they only carry 1/2" (and they get their stock from George White & Co). Will keep hunting and post details when I find a source.

Bugga about Whitworths. The half inch won't work for you?
It may be worth looking at the recycling places. I have known blokes to use recycled strips though I don't know where they got them from.
