What fasterner for bulkhead repair
The bottom 20cm of my 7mm marine ply bulkhead has to be cut out and replaced due to sustained water immersion. I will replace with same material but I can only slide it in. There is no room for anything else. Once in, I would like to install stainless steel fasteners to add strength and rigidity. Cannot use, dowels, biscuits or dominos because I can only slide he replacement section in. I am toying with the idea of cam locks used furniture making. If you have a better suggestion I would be most appreciative.
After the join the entire bulkhead will be laminated with another dress layer of thin hardwood both sides.

Howdy and welcome to the forum.
Can you post some photos of the bulkhead and surrounds? People on here are usually willing to help but they need to understand the situation to be able to give the best advice.
