Mercury
I have the chance to buy a used Mercury 9 hp with about 20/30 hours work on it. It is in excellent condition and is being serviced - would any one like to suggest a reasonable price to offer? Many thanks,

Make them start it (in a bucket of course), check the water output, put it in gear and check for noises, then ask them what they need to make and begin you haggling at 30% less. A reasonable price is the lowest they will take. If they want full retail, then remind them it's used and the economy sucks. You should be able to buy it at 50% to 70% of retail.
