I need to have expansion joins in the hall way as its 12m long. its also 4.7m high.
To hide the expansion joints we are going to use board and battens on the wall. It fits with the modern country theme of the house.
What is best practice. If each of the expansion joints are covered with timber strips, do I need to use a expansion profile. I thought a double stud at the join, with a 5mm gap that I can fill with super stretch gap filler, then cover it with a timber joining strip.
