render then paint or use tinted render?

Hi,

I am planning on rendering my house using the Render It product. I am wondering if its best to render first and then paint, or use a colour additive and add to the render? Obviously, if the render is coloured it doesnt matter if it gets chipped as the colour is all the way through, but I have heard its a challenge to make the colour look consistent (if I paint over the top this wont be an issue). Any thoughts?

Ooops, I see there are some previous posts on this topic but still welcome any ones input.

I just can't remember the reasons, but my nieghbour is a plastere and he very strongly advises against using tinted render. In fact he has just done his own house and done with a straight render and painted over it - If it's good for the pro's then that should be a good indication.

I think the tint can prevent the render from binding properly. Thanks for the info, I will definitely do them separate.
