    Default Rendering house

I'm getting a new home built and would like to have a smooth cement rendered finish. I've done some enquiries and they said that the colour will be within the render and that i won't ever need to paint? Is this true? Does anyone know about this?? Thankyou.

    hello,

    a) if using a texture coat (paint with sand in it, trowelled on) for the final coat then no it will not last for ever,

I would say 80% of all homes rendered today have this product on them

color will deteriorate depending on climate, exposure etc

    b) if using a sand & cement render which has oxides in it to color it, then yes it will last along time,

with this type of rendering though it may appear a bit patchy, color matching can be difficult, will be a dry mix product

Most people use the texture coat because of ease of color range, finish is typically smooth very even color on walls

Most texture coat homes require a spruce up after 5-10 years

    thankyou
