    Default Wire securing roof tiles

    Morning all,

I've got a 1930's house with clay tile roof. Noticed that under the roof there's a wire tying each tile to the roof battens. I've had a few tiles replaced during a reno, and noticed that the roofers don't appear to go into the roof space and secure these tiles.

During the massive howling winds last night in Sydney was wondering whether I should spend a few hours in the roof securing these tiles to the battens?

    Cheers,

    Tom

If you have the ability/agility then you have nothing to lose unless
you put a part of your anatomy through the ceiling
    then it gets costly.

In the days when tiles were wired, it was usually the top and bottom row or 2 from memory.
