Reprieve, I've manage to get a later departure for my NW coast trip so should be there for a wander around on Friday afternoon also. I'll be recognisable by my Forum cap.

Who me?
Wish I'd bought a forum shirt now. I'll be around for all 4 days, usually near the Living Boat Trust tent.
[Bruny Island today, camping at the Bruny Island Cricket Club. Weather is fantastic and I'm not missing the 35+ temperatures in Sydney. Camped in Cygnet last night with a light frost at 6:00 am today ]Geoff

The d'Entrecasteaux Channel is a fantastic cruising waterway, you can find shelter from any weather, just had a look at the itinerary and you probably had your longest drive today, up to Kettering across on the Ferry and back down to Alonnah.
I'll pop my head in to say hello on Friday afternoon, watch out for the Forum cap.Kev

Ran into numerous Forum members today. Had a ball talking to heaps of people.
A couple of photos, including the wooden boat stage, which really took my fancy as they moved around the docks!
I need to take my camera rather than phone.Kev

Hi all.
I just got back from the Festival.
Got there early and had a good look around the boats I wanted to see.
It has grown heaps and I could have spent the entire day chatting to people.
I did not need to see "all" the boats as most of the local boats are familiar to me.
But for any one travelling from interstate, I think it would be worth 2 days to visit.
One strange story. I love diesel engines. Nanni and Yanmar both had stands.
At both these stands, I was completely ignored while the reps chatted among themselves.
Small inboards must be easy to sell I guess. ????????

Paul , did Nanni happen to have any of their hybrids there ?.
Or couldn't you find out , because the buggers wouldn't talk to you !.
I reckon that needs a letter sent off to the regional heavies in each company , there needs to be some bruised buttocks , over that.

Hi Rob.
No I did not see the Hybrid.
I was particularly interested in their smallest diesel. A lovely little 7 hp model.
I would have liked more info on it and also the twin cylinder next to it.
But I do not like being ignored, so 5 mins standing next to the engine trying to catch someone's eye, was enough for me.
Yanmar did not have a small dinghy engine that I could see and i did not get to enquire, as again I was ignored.
5 mins is my limit for standing around like an idiot.
Maybe it was my appearance. ?? Bald, Beard, Bent, Glasses and I think i know what i am doing. (that might be my downfall).
GREAT EVENT. I recommend a visit to anyone interested in Wooden Boats.

Hi Rob.
I hope this link works.
Nanni Diesel Australia - N1.7
I found the info on the net "after" I got home.
No price though.
It looks like a gret little engine for the Putt Putt type hull.
It is quite small and appeared well put together.
