I'll have a go, one of the things I did not like was that hardly any of the boats at the show had the design/plan name on the ID TAG.
They are both designed by Ian Oughtred
Orden is an 18' 2" Arctic Tern.
I am not 100% sure but I think Tess is a Little Tern or a Whilly Tern.
Only problem I have is that it plan for the Whilly Tern says it is 15' 2" & the sign on Tess says it is 14' 6".Cliff.
If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.

There was one confusing name tag in post 99 & it should have been up with the 8th picture in post 92 so I deleted it to make it less confusing.... hopefully.

If you like his double-ended boats, he has 2 dory-skiffs he calls Skerrieskiffs, 2 norwegian faerings called Elf & Elfyn, & 4 double-ended beachboats he calls the Little Tern (Whilly Tern), the Tirrik, the Arctic Tern, the Ness Yawl, & the Caledonia Yawl.
You'll find his stuff here.

I too have only current plan lists. That's why the lengths threw me. Thanks.

In Iain Oughtred's biography "A life in Wooden Boats" there is a section at the back that talks about the design development of his different boat "familiies" along with some drawings. It makes a good read.
Actually the whole book makes a good read, it is worth getting a copy of. Explains a lot about a wonderful man with a special gift.
Cheers, Cameron.

NISs at the AWBF 2011
You know, it's funny how some boats just keep turning up again and again, but the NIS 26, "Kelpie" has done that with me last year and this year. The first time I saw this boat was at last year's Sydney Classic & Wooden Boat Festival, then it went zooming past me on Pennant Hills Road obviously on it's way to the F3 one Friday afternoon and then in February this year it turns up yet again, at the AWBF in Hobart. Now that is one well travelled boat! (sorry, no pic on Pennant Hills Road, it all happened too quickly)
