Camp Cruising Sydney Harbour
Greeting All,
I'm gearing up my 5m Chester Yawl sliding seat Pulling Boat for poking about and 'camp cruising' for a week on Sydney Harbour and perhaps a week in the Hawkesbury/ Pittwater area in November.
Consider it an over the boarder 'Raid' form god's (small 'g') own country ...Queensland !!
Just wondering if anyone could recommend some 'micro camp cruiser friendly' Marinas or other 'onboard camp-able' areas with particular access to Glebe... Also car & trailer storage for about a week.
Thanks in advance
Gus

Hi Gus, re camp cruising on Sydney Habour. Mate do your self a favour and give the habour a miss. Spend 2 weeks exploring the Hawksberry from Spenser or Wisemans Ferry to Broken bay (via Cowan Creek), then up to Bobbin Head via Smiths and Coal and Candle Creeks (no need to back track).
Alan Lucas's," Cruising the NSW Coast" (big boat cruising guide) would be a good place to start planning. From memory you have accses to 63 beaches and at least 4 freshwater water falls you can shower under and numerous hidden little creeks. Also 6 pubs you can restock from.
The only drama you may have is all the usual stuff related to National Parks.
This area is my back yard, PM me if you wish.

Oops ...might have slipped up with the title !!
(Dare I suggest the local 'Mens Shed' could knock up a great float for the next Mardi Gras)
Thanks Ian I might contact you closer to the time for some local Hawkesbury knowledge. In the mean time I'll Google the course you suggested.
I'm going to a reunion in Balmain so I will make the most of it floating around in Harbour for a few days enjoying the 'built environment'...
