    Someone is expecting to be shot at by WW2 vintage submarines using WW2 vintage ordnance.

    It's not a Bolger so doesn't even come close to 'ugly'

    It's the sort of paint scheme you use when you don't want someone to steal your boat/car/bike but don't want to go to the hassle of locking it

    Thinking on the camouflage thing further...
    New car models on road tests get all sorts of odd 'treatments' to disguise the new
    body shape. Kind-of hard to do that with a new boat without upsetting the trim & CoG.
    So maybe this is actually the next offering from Bertram or Mustang or Quintrex... ?
