Funnily enough , some of the big sticks we got were celery top , and king billy.
And blackwood , but that would have been locally sawn.
Even got a heap of unused doors , and window frames , even a beaut old concertina door.
Greenies down here mate , we plough them under , in Tassie , they run the place !.
    Isn't that right Paul ???.

Sounds as if your chaps got a good haul of useable timber/material.

Greenies are great Mate. They should be used to fertilise the forests, so everyone has a renewable resource to work with in the long term.

    Ha Ha.

There is no such thing as "too much timber", or anything else for that matter.

It is "STUFF", that will come in handy "ONE DAY". That is why men have sheds full of useful off cuts, waiting for the right job.

Use a few pieces on your boat. ????

No Paul , I don't think I need any more wood for the boat , maybe if a can't find the mast partners , I'll have to do them again , but that is only a foot or so.
But anyway , they have tools , they have wood , time to get in to it !.
My boat really only needs to have the hardwear set up , and painted.
I just need to pick up where I left off.

    Hi Rob.

Put up a pic of your boat project, so I know what you are talking about.

The boat is a PDR , here is a photo in the shed.
All of the boxes have since gone over to Perth , all 24 of them .
I was thinking of sending the boat over too , for my son to finish , but that would probably never happen.
So , I need to finish it , and get it over to Perth.
    Regards Rob J.

    Yes Rob.

You do need to finish it.
You have already done the hardest bit.
It would be a shame if you did not launch your new "ship" yourself.

Sounds like a good project for the men's shed, if they agree to help.

Don't forget to drop a few $$$ in their donation tin. It all helps the shed.

Lots of blokes, like me, enjoy painting, so you should not have too much trouble getting some help.
