Greg , I knew there were a few Eastern Victorians on the forum , and something like that boat you wouldn't miss.
Thanks Rickey for posting.

A classic displacement mode hull with a deep fore foot and well protected aft quarters. Her speed is limited her waterline length and I'll bet she doesn't make much wake underway, so she'll be cost effective under power. She also may need a fair bit of weight in her (a hold full of fish, for example) to "steady her down" in a good blow or substantial sea. She'd probably make a fine yacht conversion too.

It would be interesting to find out more of her history.
My take is that she was designed and built in the days when big HP wasn't the answer , when good slippery design , and adequate power , got the job done .
I wouldn't be surprised if she carried useable sail , as well.

Photos July 2nd 2011
Well here are some photos as it is today.
My understanding is that it is meant to be a yacht conversion but the conversion has so far taken at least 20 years.
The owner is Charles Rose and I have an email address for him if anyone would like to contact him. Just let me know and I will send it via a PM.
Enjoy, Rickey

Thanks Ricky, I appreciate you going to the trouble of getting the pics and posting them here. I don't need to contact the owner, as much as I'd like to know more about her, I was more just very interested to know what had happened to her and that she's still in one piece. She seems to be quite a special hull and I've often remembered her and wondered......
I'd love to see her on the water!!
On second thoughts though, I would appreciate the email address if you wouldn't mind PM'ing it, I might just email the owner and see if he'll tell me some of the history of her and if he has any old pics.
cheers and thanks again
Greg

Dear Ricky and Rob
If you find out a name, LFB number, etc, I will check the register of Australian and New Zealand ships and boats to find out whether there is any record of a history.
My guess would be some sort of fishing boat, possibly dating from the 1930s to 1950s. A shot of the bow could further help dating the boat.
In any case, any info you can find out about the boat's current status would be helpful as I can create a record for this boat that may one day be linked to an inquiry in the future.
Regards
Mori

Further to my earlier post, I see the bow shots now. Yes, I think she would be 1950s.
