More seriously .. the Tinaroo Raid is shaping up to be one of the most interesting on the water wooden sailing boat event in Australia for small boat sailors, paddlers, rowers, motorers.
Was pretty big last year and people headed up from more southerly areas.

I've got my flights and room under the tarp already booked from last year. Cliff drinks Toohey's OLD (for some reason it tastes OK at the Raid) and is also capable of looking after a port or two.
It's a great week-end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We won a prize for our Tarp Mahal a couple of years ago.
You have to bring your own beer & your own boat BUT....
if you are under privileged, somebody will loan you a boat & give you a beer.
(They are smart enough not to ask for the beer back. )Cliff.

I'll leave it to Cliff for the official report and just post a few pics to whet your appetite. It's not enough to say it was a GREAT week-end, suffice to say I've already booked into the Tarp Mahal for next year. Do yourself a favour and BE THERE in 2010.
