I'm back, I survived.
Great weekend, I have about 60 pics to sort through on my camera & I also took about 30 on my friends camera.

Cliff, Cliff, Cliff - I am so happy I am almost crying - fantastic for you to put the pics up!!!!! Looks like those Northerners are doing something extraordinary - both individually and in terms of an event!!!
See if you can contact Australian Amateur Boatbuilding magazine and get the front cover - some of those pics are fantastic - they often have a few colour pages inside as well for the better pictorials! Hell - you could give WoodenBoat a shot!
I think that the work of the people involved and the support from participants and these posts of yours and the pics put the Tinaroo RAID on the map in a big way.
Just FANTASTIC!

There are some better photos than mine, mine is only a $400 camera.
I also don't have any pics of the main event 'cos I was in it up to my ears.
The main event was about 14 boat loads of people all trying to throw coloured ping pong balls into baskets in the rigging of the pirate galleon.
The galleon was manned by 2 pirates armed with loaves of sliced bread.
They would dip a slice of bread in to water & throw it at anybody who got too close.
They would also throw the ping pong balls that missed the basket overboard.
Heaps of fun, I finished up looking like a chook's breakfast.
I'll get some of the other pics & post them here eventually.Cliff.
