Update from Texas on Mystery Boat
Good morning to all. I wanted to edit my original post but did not see an option for it. Me and my mate went back out to take a few more photos of this boat. And as some of you have said this thing was massive. The overall length of what was left was 31' 9". What was left of the keel was 14" deep and 5" wide and one end. The other end of the boat differs in construction. I took one picture in the same perspective as the boat is laying. If you fall out of your chair looking at it sorry .
The other end
Not sure if the angles were original or if this was a repair that was done at a later date. These were not on all of the ribs.
Same perspective as the boat lays

I really think you need to get someone "in the know" out there to look
at it. I think you have the bottom of a large boat, only God knows
how it got there.

I have been trying to get someone interested in a local college but it is not working. So far the good people here have been the most help. If I can find out what type of boat (name of type) I could probably do a better search and find out an era for it.

Hey chuck this is over in Dickinson about an hour and a half from you. If you are interested I would be more than happy to take you to see the boat. The only way in is by kayak or canoe. I have extra kayaks so if you are interested give me a shout. I will shoot you a PM with my phone number.

Hey Johnny
Would you judge it to be a fixerupperer or a handimans dream?
