Thread: Wooden Boat Celebration Grafton November 2009

Hello all,
As part of our Jacaranda festival here in Grafton, we are trying to get a heap of wooden boats and their owners to bring their boats along to Grafton this November.
The Jacaranda Committee have been trying to incorporate more focus on the Clarence here in Grafton, as it is where the origins of travel to the town lie.
We are inviting anyone with a wooden boat, be it canoes, kayaks, sailing boats, speed boats, even unfinished projects, to bring them along for both static and on the water displays.
We hope to have a flotilla passing behind the stage at our venetian canival on Friday the 6th Nov, and have a boat show on Saturday the 7th.
Saturday evening we have a street parade, and we are inviting any boat owners who wish to participate to please enter.
The previous Thursday the 5th is a locally proclaimed holiday, and the main street is closed so that each shop can provide skits and entertainment for awards and prizes.
It is a great few days, and we would love to be hosts to some wooden boats to help us celebrate.
