Wooden Tender
I am looking for an old wooden tender. It does not need to be seaworthy as I only want it for the kids to play on in the backyard.
If there is anyone in or around Melbourne who knows of one that is for sale, please PM me.
Cheers.Last edited by Daddles; 29th November 2006 at 11:31 AM. Reason: phone number removed - okay, it was only a mobile no but it might be there for a while.

I wanted one for a kids playground a few years back, I ended up walking down a posh Sydney harbourside penisular knocking on doors asking if anyone had a dingy they didn't want. Got 2.
I got another one once for nix from the maritime museum. It was a broken down 1920's Sussex Inlet dorey that was superfluous to their needs. I fixed it up (good enough for Kids but not sea worthy) and it went into a childcare centre on a navy base. Found out later the sailers were cursing me as they had to do a working bee to remove the lead paint.
So there are plenty around, finding them is the trick.
