Without being smart perhaps you get a bigger bolt and padlock. Do you have a dog?

If someone wants to get in badly enough, they will. So I have equipped my shed with a motion detector alarm which wakes all the neighbors (and me too, I hope) if entry is made. No wires outside (battery-driven), so it can't be disabled that way. Just keep the batts fresh.

I've heard of thieves simply unscrewing the side of a colourbond shed and walking in! No locks to break, not much noise, just undo half a dozen screws!

A mate of mine with racing cars in this shed has overcome this by welding some sort of mesh to the inside of the frame, and he also has some hasp and staple locks in the slab to provide an additional lock on the doors.

Motion detector inside 2 bee hives outside. I can leave my shed open and no one will go near it.

I spoke to s security guy (he sells security product) quite some time ago and he reckons that the best thing to deter thieves is a dog. Thieves don't want to risk the possible injuries or the attention a barking dog may make.

Failing that I would go with the motion sensitive alarm inside the shed.
