    Default Don't like automatic subscriptions.

This forum has been a good friend to me over the past few years, and this is the very first complaint I've had to register. I don't like the automatic subscriptions that has emails of new posts sent to SWMBO's computer. This forum is my place, where I talk to people I like and listen to what they have to say, and sometimes I enter into discussions and express views that I don't want SWMBO to read (such as this post).

Is there any way of turning this feature off permanently?

If you go to your User CP and click on "Edit Options" (on the left), there is a section in there called "Default Thread Subscription Mode" where you can select "Do not subscribe" from the drop down menu Hope that helps.

As Duncan says or if you have trouble doing so, I can reset it for you.

Mind you, you'll still need to unsubscribe from those that you're already subscribed to. You can also do this via User CP then scroll down to List Subscriptions then a new page will open with the list from which you can the tick the box on the right for the ones you don't want or the very top one which will select all and then scroll down to the drop down menu where it says Move to folder, click on the arrow to open and then select appropiate action then hit Go
    Cheers

Thanks Duncan and DJ. Now I feel like an Eeejit. You can delete this thread if you wish, DJ. Thanks again.

Please don't. Everybody's an idiot, except me; and sometimes I'm not so sure about me.
