    Hello Hugh

Were they all for the same dates, same email, same username?

Was there anything other than the above noticeably different with each of the 3 emails?

Have reported this to Steven... No other reports of this so far so may just have been a one off glitch.

    Cheers - Neil

    Hi Neil,
They were dated a couple of minutes apart and the only difference was the first item, which was probably submitted in that time.

Yep, there's a tickbox under Settings/General Settings then scroll down to "Miscellaneous Options"... 2nd last option.

Got me beat Steven's looking at it.

There are upgrades to some of our hacks including the newsletter but we have an upgrade to these forums to be done soon and don't want to touch anything on here until we can find and fix all the problems created by the same upgrade done to MWF a few weeks ago and currently causing some massive problems over there.

Just as an aside... The newsletters don't go out regularly but in batches from time to time. If we send them out on a regular basis we clog the email server and end up over running our already massive email allowance.

Even i haven't received on for a month or two.

    Cheers

Whenever I get the newsletter I generally get two or three of them at irregular intervals.Right now I am more concerned that every time I post the forum software reformats my message and removes the line feeds so it is all a wall of text with no paragraphs. And I can't post pictures or smilies again
I got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

Doug your problem sounds like the "I want to use HTTPS even when the forum doesn't support it" problem. Are your URLs https?

Yes they are https and ALWAYS have been, at least for several years. Why would it be making a difference now?

I have never gone out of my way to make it HTTPS. That's just how it comes up.

the forum doesn't support HTTPS in it's current iteration. Remove the HTTPS and just use HTTP. One of the problems that the (delayed) upgrade was to prepare for HTTPS across the board.

As for why it behaves different today/this week - doesn't really matter, it's a known unsupported configuration and the situation you have seen is a known consequence.... (I'm just a forum regular like you, I have no other knowledge beyond having seen this discussion before)

https was only activated for these forums last July or August, not several years as you’ve stated. I suggest you use the http version till the https site has been updated and sorted.

    Not secure

    Well whenever it was.

I have no strange attraction to HTTPS or HTTP for that matter, I just want it to work.
I never selected anything to make it HTTPS, It just seems that it always has been.
Now, when I change it to HTTP, it reverts to HTTPS when the page is refreshed anyway.
