Well I wasn't going to get involved in this thread but then I realised that strewth, I already had.

All I can say is that if Neil (or one of his minions ) sent me a pm saying "Craig, your Kookaburra avatar is offensive to a lot of forum members and I'd appreciate it if you'd change it."

Well, then I'd change it to something less controversial (although I'm not sure what could be less controversial than a Kooka).

We should all always remember that we are all merely guests in Neil's house.

I realise that sounds like I'm crawling but I'm not.

After all, it's not like I'm a moderator or anything.

    Col

    Hear Hear.

    Peter,

BTW Col, is there something in your Code of encouraging the upcoming generation of woodworkers and something about cautioning blokes about biting the hand that feeds them?

As for the grand scheme, each to his own I think. Lets just say that my perception revolves around being a decent person.

Is there something I've missed, but isn't this like 'sins of the father'? Just a thought. Happy to be corrected.

    Squashed mosquito anyway.

    Sorry Peter.
What is it with your avatar anyway? I remember when it used to almost dance around below your screen name.

I don't think this is the right thread to be talking about avatars.

It depends, what is the Kooka doing ? Looks a bit sus to me.

I guess it may be academic then but people seem to say stuff like that all the time and return to post another day.

Even Two-Words has picked up and left now. Or has he?

    still here

Good to see you back, even if some thought you hadn't really left Gumby.

Doug did have some good contributions but that avatar did wear pretty thin after awhile and had started to look purile to the point that I am glad to see it gone. But perhaps that's because I'm the one male in an almost all female work force and saw it as condescending and demeaning towards those around me.

    John

I was expecting something more like

    "sanctimonious crap"

    from Two Words
