Thread: Multiple idenities

If ever anyone sees someone or something that looks dodgy please report it or them immediately. If you can't report it then send a PM to me or DJ

We'll sort 'em out in quick time, either allowing them to stay after investigation or by aggressively banning them, their IP, their username and email. not only from these forums but also over 200,000 forums and blogs around the world.

These mongrels are a blight on forums and blogs and unless we know who, what, where and when, asap, we can't do anything about them.

The spam-O-Matic Stats below only show what has been done automatically by that program in the last few years

However the above doesn't show the the regular culling of sneaky mongrel spammers in waiting, that manage to get multiple memberships and are deleted on mass every year at the rate of around 8,000 to 10,000 by me in an annual cull of 5 yrs or more non posting, non returning, members who after signing up have never even been back again.

Nor does it show the daily ones that get past security but never seem to be able to get past the ever watchful eye of DJ. Most of those never see the light of day.

Nor does it show the sus posts/threads that are deleted thanks to the few vigilant members who report posts and threads.

We all owe a vote a great of thanks to the vigilance of members who help us by reporting problems and specially thanks to DJ for the massive job he does keeping these ne'er-do-well mongrels at bay.

Bit of useless information.

For what it's worth the below world map is of spamming countries. More spam comes from the darker countries. Russia leads the way with 2,640,507 reported spammers closely followed up by USA with 1,611,504 reported spammers for the last year.

Interesting that the ones we think are the worst actually aren't anywhere near the top of the list. Places like India being way less than a third that of the USA and China less than half again that of India.

Doth identities now re banned, delete and submitted to Akismet so shouldn't be able to re register for WWF.

But then again some morons are really smart and able to get into almost anything anywhere. But don't think this one(s) smart enough to be called a moron. Got over 1000 reports on Stop Forum Spam so obviously a slow learner, but then again maybe he/she/it is just too clever for us. Not.
