We're just tweaking the cache and mysql settings and seeing if things improve. I haven't been able to trace whats causing the load, nothing is logged, no heavy duty jobs run around this time.

It could simply be the traffic influx, its clearly the busiest time of the day.

Server load is currently 0.12 the server busy message doesn't display until load is above 10.

Sunday night is the busiest time of the week on here, it passed by without incident. It's safe to say the changes I did saturday night and sunday morning have helped.

getting old notifications subscribed too and just received them after having gett notifications at the normal hours for the last 2 weeks.

I can see the mail server has sent you quite a bit of mail, but I cant tell if any was delayed.

Steve all has gone back to normal again this mornings e-mails show a time of 0023.

If I have any more arrive out of sync I'll do as requested as the ones I mentioned have already been deleted.

I reckon it might be your end Mick.....check the URL you are entering, as ours is Woodwork Forums - Powered by vBulletin and there is another pretty close to ours that flogs plans.

Couldn't get in for the last hour or so, just got a connection timeout error and then database too busy page.

Me too, I suspect some work was done on the server or backups were run, I'll make sure Steven is aware of it.

We're not sure what caused this, eliminated the obvious causes and basically monitoring the system atm.
