Default Is there a way to get spell check in the edit window when using Firefox?

I downloaded the Firefox Spell Check Add-on but it doesn't work in the edit window (but Safari does, and I guess a few others do).

Is there a solution for this please?
    Regards, FenceFurniture

I'd take any claims of it being an "Oz Dictionary" with a pinch of salt... some time back I DL'ed it and found that all of the corrections were for Americanised spellings. (eg. It wants to change that (<--) to AmericaniZed! )

On grabbing the "US dictionary" and doing a bit-wise comparison, the ONLY difference I could find was an A added to the front of the name "US dictionary."
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

When I type colour I don't get a red underline, but when I type color I do.

    Realise? Realize? (red line)

    Zed? Zee? (red line)

YES!!! Actually, that was the first test of USA v Oz.

Now, lemme see.....ok, I can add "lemme" to the dictionary. That's good.

What else? Ah yes, some colorful language.
    #word blue? That's ok.
    #word brown. Yep.
Miserable #word. No, had to add that one.

Well, that's it. I'm very satisfied - just have to educate it a little, like all my mobile phones have been.

Default Delete the rest and keep the best

You originally had a US dictionary. You added an AUS one. They work in conjunction.

Simply delete the US one, restart the browser.

    Presto. Colour.

I have both as I'm often dealing with yanks who can't spell propper or understand Oz spellin'.

From time to time you need to check that FFox hasn't defaulted back to US dickshunerry, which it has a want to do every now and again.

    Cheers - Neil

PS had 4 red lines under the above and fixed the mistakes really easily.Just added 'em to the dickshunerry, US of course, Aussies would never spell words as bad as that. Well except for on a Chewsdee or any other day endin wif ee, cos on them ee days spellin n grammah don't mater much at all.
