#1 Son's turned cherry bowl
My lad turned this at school. I reckon it's great.

Son of Zen,
Beaut first bowl & top finish. Plus, turned from cherry. I've not been able to get my hands on any cherry wood yet. Oh well.
Zen, do I see a wood lathe in the future for the House of Zen?
You have every right to be proud.
Regards,
Barry.

Great job, young Zen!
And Zenwood - looks like you're going to have share that shed space - and hopefully have many happy years of shedtime together! Beats fishing for bonding time, surely!
Cheers,
Jill

Good effort, but are you sure it's Cherry? Doesn't look right to me, but then again I've been spoiled and have only turned Wild Cherry.

(Zen's son): thanx guys it took a while to make and i had a few hicups with the varnish and lathe but i think i covered it up pretty well eg i clamped the bowl without the varnish drying entirely and it made a mark, i also had a small ding on the inside that i made from the lathe THAT I COULD NOT GET OUT ><. Aprt from that it was a good fun project. Im making a sword now, probly post some pics when its done. thanx again. later
