20 years and maybe 6 months old huon pine dining setting.
This is my second dining setting. Made pretty quickly after the 21 year old one. Can't really explain why now but at the time was interested in insects legs (a nutter here for sure) and thought it'd be cool to try and translate that interest into the setting.

This time I went for carver chairs at each end. The armrests are supported by Tasmanian Horizontal scrub. A really strong timber that has the added bonus of when it dries out, the bark latches on and wont let go.
Table top was 3 boards joined together.
Tried to make the chairs roughly mirror image of the ones sitting opposite.

At the time I had 2 unsold dining settings sitting in my tiny house.

Another interesting setting and I hope you are not upset but for me the other setting seems to have more appeal.

I find the other setting has more of a flow.

Hi Christos, not upset at all here mate. Takes a helluva lot more than a bit of constructive criticism to upset the old Bodger. I actually preferred the other setting myself. I like a single slab top better than a 3 piece one. Also the first setting was sort of made up as I went with no overiding theme, a real freedom of design if you like.
