Default Early 20th Century Silky Oak Recliner

I am seeking some insight into an old silky oak recliner that I picked up a number of years back. The only stamp I can find on it is "A3 European Labour Only" which from what I can find out puts it's build date prior to the 1950s. It's in great condition with simple construction and quite novel functionality. If anyone has seen anything similar or knows more I would love to hear about it.

I can't help much, other than to say that similar inscriptions were often found on furniture made in Melbourne, not sure of the dates. You might find people who know about these things at the Furniture History Society. Also, I seem to remember Raf Nathan from the Australian Wood Review writing an article about this some years ago.

There was a thread on here a while back asked the same question. I cant remember who answered but it had the stamp to prove it was not made by cheep Chineese non union workers. An early form of protectionism. Anyhow if anyone can remember or point out the thread that would be good.

I would say this is definitely an Australian made example based on similar recliner armchairs that were made in England.
The design of your chair would almost certainly date it to around 1920 give or take a few years.
