Matrix, you have my compliments, and you have more expertise and patience than me.
I saw you listed the Triton workcentre, what or how did you cut the box mitres?

Thanks all for your great comments. Yes it is slow progress, but I only ever get to work in the shed on weekends and always have five other thing's goin' on .

Zen, yes all sanding was done by hand, up to 400grit.

All ripping of timber was done on the triton. To cut the mitres, I used my GMC 250mm SCMS( a pretty average machine, but good results can be had with light feather cut's and some masking tape to eliminate any chipping or splintering)

By the sounds of your methods you should be using laquer not poly!

Not quite sure what you mean, but how do you think I'm going now?

Anyway, got the lurgy at the moment so takin it easy this weekend.
Been a while, so I dragged out the ongoing saga's and did some rubbing.

Hope fully I can make good progress tomorrow on the inserts (thats the curvy bits )

Really beautiful work Martrix - you've excelled! Is the 'black redgum' also known as 'ancient redgum'??? - assuming that is what you used on the feet???
