Hi Alexs, watching this thread with interest.
Is that a Carbatec 400mm wide drum sander in the background?
If it is, what do you think of it, as I am considering purchasing one?I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

Finally came back from holidays, work etc. to finish this off.
There are a few things I'm not happy with - there's a slight gap on the RH side of the lid, and I had to replace a chip on the LH top of the front. The match looked fine before I oiled it, but it sticks out like a dog's goolies now. Will have to try & darken it a bit.
Finish is Kunos oil & Trad. wax

Nice result Alex. That burl is magnificent. Would give me the willies trying to work with stuff like that.
Do you think this box had more than its fair share of visits from the stuff-up fairy? You'd never know...

Don't think I can blame the stuff-up fairy, most of the stuff-ups on this one are mine...but some things went better than expected, too.

Looks really great Alex. Thanks for reminding us that you are the proud owner of a drum sander
