I returned from the woodworking show all enthusiastic.

All oiled up with 3-4 coast of Livos oil.

I couldn't wait for the knobs so put a couple of leftovers on. I am ordering aged-brass round knobs.

Anyway they are in the bedroom know.

Beautiful work Scally. The wood looks superb, and the joinery is very high class. How did you cut the half-blind dovetails?

    Thanks Zenwood.

I used a Leigh jig for the dovetails.
It is easy to get the layout to fit the width of board.

The Tassie Oak routed easily but the blackwood was so dense some of the boards move slightly as I was routing the dovetails. The pic is fussy enough not to show the gaps.
I needed an extra clamp to hold them firmly.

Magnificent: that finish looks top notch, and those aged brass knobs are very suitable.

    Blanket chest looks good too.

    Greeny etc.

Hi Scally - Very Impressive result - especially love how the knobs do not detract from the beautiful work and blackwood.

    Thumbs up Fantastic Work

The bedside cabinets look great I love contrast in colour and grain even thou it may have be a pain to work with the end product talks for it self. The sliding self is a great addition. I must remember that one.
