    Default Bedside table No2

    Lessons learn't this time around
I worked to tighter tolerences with the door and hinges
I worked to tighter tolerances with the drawer to try and get a piston fit

The small stand is mortise and tenon joinery made by hand tools
The drawer was half lapped dovetailed by Leigh D4 jig however the groves for the ply base was done by plough plane
The door is mortise and tenon. The tenon by hand, and the mortice machine made.
The raised panel and grooves were hand done by using plow plane for the grooves and rebate plane with angled fence for the panel as shown in derecks tutorial

Made from Camphor laurel and African Mahogany
Finished with Shellac as the base then traditional wax
    Hope you like it

The workmanship looks very good. I have a problem with the timber colour matching as shown in photographs.

If he gets it without working for it; he's a parasite; and if he accumulates it after a life time of hard work, people call him a fool who never got anything out of life."

    Thumbs up

    Nice work!

Sometimes when it comes to matching timbers you simply have to work with what you have.
