I bet mine's smaller than yours!
Greetings all and all the best for the holidays. Just thought I'd throw out a challenge: Show us the smallest USEFUL gift or item you've made. I'll start this off by showing you a little device (probably illegal) that I made and have been giving to others. It's a small wedge with a fishing swivel inserted at one end. What the? (I hear you ask)
If you own an LPG powered vehicle, you probably have spent lots of time holding the trigger on at the bowser as you refuel. Some clever bunny has taken the clips off them in all but a couple of stations here in Perth, so you have to hold the thing for minutes.....unless of course you happen to have a convenient little wedge on your keyring that fits into the gap when you hold the lever on the nozzle.
(The bowser will automatically click off when the tank is 80% full anyway, so why did they remove the clips?! )
I made it out of Belian, an extremely hard Malaysian hardwood. I left it unfinished, but sanded it to a fine finish since this wood goes almost black over time. Photos are below. Show us your little things, people!

I used to carry something like that. But now I use a piece of hook-and-loop strap to wrap around the trigger. I store it on the turn-signal lever, which faces the driver-side door in the upover; YMMV (I guess).
In New Jersey, fuel must be pumped by the attendant. I have no idea why.

I don't have LPG but on a diesel or petrol car you can jam the fuel cap into the pump handle to keep the trigger pressed.
