Bird-feeder
This is a Xmas present for my Mum to replace a bird-feeder that my late grandfather and I built when I was a youngster and unfortunately had to be "recycled" . The design is adapted from a free plan available from www.plansnow.com. I replaced the copper roof with corro and the shingle sides with weatherboard to give it a more australian look. I also opted for a simpler slide latch mechanism to support the base when in the raised position. The timber is Jarrah which will hopefully provide some longevity and has been sealed with some leftover decking oil to retain the colour as long as possible. Any comments or feedback would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Alex

That is an 'A' class bird feeder. Well done.

I really genuinely love it.
What a great looking bird house.
I have downloaded the plans.
I was going to ask you how it works, but now I've got the plans I can see form myself.
Oh, I'll be nicking your pics so I might steal a few of your ideas.

bird feeder
Hope you get as much pleasure from yours as we do, it costs us a fortune in nuts each week feeding ours, I think the message has gone out in our vicinity of the handout. Nice work as well.

Alex.
Wondering if you could tell me how you did those weather boards?
They really set off the whole thing, that and the 'corro'.
