Looks very nice, the frame and panel looks very good, I will have to try it on a project onetime.
What are the "stays" that you used for the lid? Are they pneumatic?
Cheers,
Nathan.

Nice to see a departure from the 6 plank dovetail jointed rustic common garden variety model.
The handle on top seems to be surplus to requirments though (would give you a pain the the rear if you sat on it)

Love the feet! I think they match the chest very nicely and look like they are high enough so you shouldn't kick your toes on the chest.
What did you line it with? Why did you go for frame and panel this time round? what was the trickiest part of the whole project?
cheers

Truly nice piece. Should give you many years of pleasure. I like the handles and staining. Great work!

Very nice piece, the raised panels do give it nice "feel".

What wood?
I think the handle looks good in the first pic.
If it needs to be sat on, you can get handles which fit in a recess in the mounting plate.
OTOH, the handle may *stop* folks sitting on it, and scratching the finish
Cheers,
Andrew

Lovely job, Cruzi. I agree with the departure from dovetail joints.

They are adjustable friction based soft close stays, little fingers will not be hurt by the lid
Can I ask where you bought them, and how much they were?
(If they are not a site sponsor, I believe the polite thing to do is PM me with the answer)

The stays came from Bunnings, they cost $26 each, they also do another type for heavy lids, they cost $37 each
