    Default JBs Arcade Machine

Dunno if technically using MDF counts as woodwork but this is my second project ever, still got a lot to learn but really enjoying it, tis a slow process as time is limited due to new baby!

The machine is designed to sit on a bar or coffee table, turned out a bit larger than I expected but it should be awesome when finished, will have 19" LCD and a small form factor PC in a drawer that slides out the back...

    More pics as work progresses

I've got about 6000 MAME Roms with lots of classics like Raiden, Gyruss, Gauntlet etc... also later games like Mortal Kombat 3, Streetfighter etc... Was going to use Maximus Arcade for the frontend and it supports a whole raft of emulators so the skys the limit!

    Talking A ripper that!

It's starting to look good, will be watching the progress. You are in for a hell of a lot of work with it but I reckon it's going to be worth it! If you are looking for inspiration or ideas I too am building one of these babies https://www.woodworkforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=28303

I need to update my progress as it's behind on what I've actually done - too busy finishing it. Hopefully it will be completed by this weekend.

    Ciao,

    M.

Most of time is definately in the cutting and fitting, a cnc router would save a LOT of time and effort

Making slow progress at present, haven't done anything for a couple of weeks, hoping to get some time in this weekend

Have a set of 4" fusion 2-way car speakers and a 2x100W amp for it now tho', should rock as a jukebox as well as arcade box

Hmm, 1 small issue I see is that the buttons are on the wrong slant.

Im pretty sure its spose to be to the left not right?

Buttons are on the correct slant dude

Some pics of the wiring for cabman, theres a green common ground that goes around all the switches and then each switch has a wire back to the appropriate connector on the controller
