Thanks Groggy! And TTIT - lol - I'm sure you would have!!
Hi Pops, Thanks for all your replies! We have had fun building it and look forward to the next one!
Thanks Artme - I think this will be our top dream home ever, really as it has all the features we love, plus with the double limestone walls. We looked into getting limestone for the next one, but it would have to be carted too far for it to be cost effective. Shame about that as they are my favourite walls. Also we love the pole frame, but next time will skip that to save time and effort. We will try to have plenty of features to make up for the lack, though!!
Thanks Alex - we wish we could just pick it up and shift it! It has a lovely feel to it, but hopefully our next home will fit the bill for the tropics and also have a good feel to it, too.
Cheers and thanks
Jill

What an amazing house...
What rotten luck to stumble across such a thread as this when you're now selling up! Still, I'm sure my employer wont mind the hour or so it will take to ho through the whole thread
Good luck with the new house - can't wait for that one!
Cheers,
Dave...but together with the coffee civility flowed back into him

Oh no I feel terrible now, I've turned her to the darkside. Someone whack me with a lump of jarrah...
When you told me of your plans all those months ago I thought you were bonkers, I still do
Is kinda sad you're leaving almost before you've had a chance to enjoy what you created. It's such a glorious home you and the family put together there. That last trip down the drive will be very hard.
But as one dream ends another begins and I'm sure the next will be just as special as this one. I wish you all the very best up in Townsville.Cheers
