A strange request for a butter dish. Made from Beech and a ABW handle, finished with food safe oil. No blocks of butter were harmed in making this

Very nice. Is melting butter a problem in your part of the world? Would the butter sit on a glass/china dish inside the butter dish? Or is it purely decorative?
Experienced in removing the tree from the furniture

I was thinking the same thing. I love the concept and design, but would have to modify it to include a glass / china dish in the bottom where we are, or the timber bottom would get very messy in the summer months.
