Working on the spacing of the slats at the moment. I don't want to get it wrong.

The seats were cut to their final shape and sanded. It is a good idea to carve away more waste around the joint before gluing up.

I am using a 2-part epoxy for the glue-up. It sets slowly and is a good gap filler.
A nervous moment, I placing the first chair to a flat surface and all 4 feet stood firmly without any gaps. So it is so far so good.
I am pretty happy with the design, it looks like a handsome chair.Visit my website at www.myFineWoodWork.com

Looking very nice Scott.

If he gets it without working for it; he's a parasite; and if he accumulates it after a life time of hard work, people call him a fool who never got anything out of life."

You're right about handsome chairs Wongo, I like 'em too and those are handsome chairs.
We bought our current house from a Taiwanese/ Australian couple. He was a furniture maker by trade and had 19 different hand made chairs in the lounge room! they were all gorgeous!! he also had a couple of tables and all the bed room furniture was made by him. I don't recall seeing better workmanship anywhere!
Every stick of furniture was Rosewood!!
