Default Cherry and bloodwood shot glass display

Here’s another example of my tendency to go overboard with wacky design ideas. My wife wanted a shot glass display. I wanted to experiment with new techniques. This project features cherry and bloodwood. The top and bottom of the case are bent lamination’s made with resawn solid cherry. Male and female bending forms and plenty of clamps where used to create the bent laminations.
The grid work has several different sizes and is joined with sliding dovetail joinery. The grid is attached to the case sides using sliding dovetails as well. I was still a bit of a green horn when I built this and met many first time challenges. The case back has 4 keyhole slots for mounting. The door uses concealed hinges and a ball catch. The pull is attached with dowels. Biscuit joinery for the case walls.
