    Thanks dellsmaith. They're some great looking boards javali. I like the cork idea!

    I use Titebond glue (can't remember if it's II or III). Works really nicely. Will be interesting to see if it holds under some heavy use. Will let you know if anything bad happens.

    Would love to learn the technique used in #2. I live in North Pole, Alaska and I am just starting to get into segmented turning as bowl blanks are so expensive to have shipped here.     Holes for the handle were roughed out with a forstner bit and ends cut on the bandsaw first.
    The handle and ends were then shaped using a template jig made from some scrap chipboard then using router with a 3/8 spiral downcut bit and 5/8 template guide.
    After that I used a 1" round over bit to shape the edges.
