Coffee table
Basic coffee table I made the top out old raw Red Gum and the edging and legs out of what I believe is Karri and the under supports out of jarrah. Finished with Danish oil polished to 600 grit. First project out of hardwood.

It may be basic but it has turned out great. I currently use BLO to finish my scroll work and have been recommended to use Danish oil, what brand of oil do you use? and do you need to cut it 50/50 with spirits like you do with BLO?

I used Organoil Danish Oil and gave it two coats, For the first coat took Neils polishers handbook tip on danish Oil and sanded for 10mins with 600 wet and dry. First time I`ve tried danish oil and will do so more often from now on.
Had no real trouble with Karri found it easy to work with alot easier than Red Gum. Had to take alot off 10mm a side to get rid of any cracks as it had been sitting out in the weather for a few years.
Held together as per photo.
