A couple of pieces...
...that I made previously, before joining the forums.
The first is made from a Lilac tree that had to removed from my wife's grandmother's front garden due to white ants. Unfortunately we could not salvage a lot of the timber, and so I had to create a veneer over mdf to make the top.
It didn't come out too bad, but I'm not happy with the construction techniques I used at the time.
and
The second I think is from the same Lilac tree, but I can't remember for sure.

Very, very nice.
I'm not a great fan of uber-gloss finishes, but I'll admit to coveting the table.

What they said. The second picture clarifies the reflection of the windows.
Excellent work on both pieces.

G'day Wongdai,
Hey, after reading your "Too old" post I thought you were just a beginner.
There's nothing wrong with your woodworking skills mate
Keep up the good work.
