    Default Crooked Birdhouse

My wife and I were invited to a 8yr old boys birthday and I wanted to make him something so we asked his mother. She said a traditional birdhouse so I asked her to find a picture of what she called a traditional birdhouse to help me find a design. She sent this photo

Now having an idea of what she meant I went onto Google and found this design which I liked

Here is my version completed, made from Jarrah with a Sheoak chimney, door frame and knob on the back and a Marri door (the knob is to allow the base to be remove should it be required)

    Hi,
Very nice, but I think you need a dowel under the entrance for a perch / door step.
    Regards

I had been contemplating that, if he or the birds need one it's only one hole to fix it. So I will wait and see

That is a fabulous gift for the young bloke, very clever indeed.
