Davis Chairs
I made 6 of the chairs from the book The Best Seat In House they have taken a while to finish (work gets in the way) all in black wood, leather upholstery 3 coats of lacquer sprayed on, my first time with a spray gun took a little while to get use to and then finished with steel wool and wax to give a smooth finish. The leather upholstery I had a local company do that and just screwed the seats on from underneath.

Very nice. Looks like quite a bit of work there. Love the blackwood, one of my favourite timbers.

If he gets it without working for it; he's a parasite; and if he accumulates it after a life time of hard work, people call him a fool who never got anything out of life."

Hi Lignum
I made two templates front and side profile marked the side on a timber blank cut that on the band saw and spent the next three days sanding the the front and backs then marked the front profile cut most of that with the band saw and finished the small radius on the wife scroll saw more sanding I used a small drum sander in a hand drill for the small radius. In the book he suggested cutting the last part on the table saw and finish with a copping saw I didn't feel confident cutting the thin strips on the table saw I like my finger to much.Robbie
