    Default Desk

This a design taken from Raf Nathan's hidden drawer desk (AWR 64). My first real attempt at furniture. The timber is a mixture of hardwoods cut from my place. The top is flooded gum, legs blood wood and grey gum, the panels grey gum and the draw pulls/mouldings black wattle. i used a mixture of spar marine, tung oil and turps to finish it. its not a light item. my daughter grabbed it and uses it as a hall table.

Lovely job. I was sorry that the photos did not open into full pages so I could see the results better.

Thanks for the positive comments guys. My photography does not do justice to the grain in the Aussie hardwood. I've made these bigger. Hope these go better John.
