Dolls house - finished
The design and painting of the house are based on our town house. It has timber floor and timber bench top. The floor is made from thin timber strips (usually for model ship building) and finished with 3 coats of polyU. The stairs and kitchen are made from Basal wood. All doors have handles and real hinges.
Doll houses are normally too low on the ground. It is hard to reach the bottom floor. I added 2 toy boxes/book shelf underneath it to raise it by 35cm. The wheels make it easy to move around the house.
The house is build from 9mm plywood. I did it with a hand held circular saw and a router only.

Love the house, I do have a couple of questions/comments though.
I realise this may be a bit personal, but do you have some awful elephant man like deformity? I just ask because of the positioning of your dust mask in pic 1. :eek:
Also does your horse like the rocking child much in the last pic.
Sorry, couldn't resist, I'm sure your daughter loves the house and has added her own personal touch. I bought one years ago for my own daughter, a home made affair, but couldn't hold a candle to yours, I'm sure she will treasure it forever.Boring signature time again!
